when you go for a bike ride what part of your body is getting exercise.(i know the legs but what else).
Actually, your abs are not involved much at all. This is why treadmills and elliptical machines are preferred to burn overall calories. If you think about it a little bit standing erect involves more muscles, thus burning more calories.
However, I love biking so as long as your doing moderate intensity your hamstrings, calves, and glutes are getting the most direct exercise. More importantly, it's your heart that is getting the most of any exercise! your abs...
