What is a good bike for under $200? |
looking for ladies bike for under $200. I was given a free 10 speed to see if I really would bike and it is too big for me, but I have re-learned braking and speeds. It will be for exercise and short trips in town You're better off buying a good second hand bike than wasting your money on a cheap one from a place with a name that ends in "mart". Those bikes are not built to last and can't be fixed once they break. I would say go to your bike shop, get them to show you the cheapest option and stretch your budget to meet it. You'll get good quality, a longer lasting machine and will have access to mechanics if anything does happen to go wrong. If you really want to stick to your budget, like I said, check ebay. Best thing to do is buy a used one!!! Those can get eally cheap & plus you can jew them if u think the price isnt right for you win a free one i have seen never used bikes on ebay and some ppl are willing to sell them for about $150. Many good bikes are under $200. I have a $120 bike that i got from toys-r-us, i know Toys-R-Us isnt a bike store but they are very cheap and had a good selection of bikes for adults and children alike. I bought a 21 speed adult size "Rhino" a very cheap brand of bike. I have had absolutely no problem with it what-so-ever. I suggest a mountain bike because they are rugged and give a smooth ride on the bumbiest of roads, they are also significantly cheaper than road bikes of the same quality I got a great mountain bike at a garage sale for $150. I love it for riding to school and to the store. I think you can get the same bike at Target. It's a schwin.
