I'm out of shape, but not overweight. Whenever I exercise, my face get bright red. It's uncomfortable, but not unbearably so. I just get self consious. I'm going to start riding my bike a whole lot pretty soon, and I don't want to turn red every single time I go for a ride. Is there anything I can do to prevent it?
its either 1 of 2 things. one of them is that your not exhaling when lifting and inhaling when lowering or that your not getting enough oxygen, either because your out of shape or your not dieting right (eating foods that clog your arteries) I have the same problem. After crossing the finish line at a a 5K running race my friends all came to me with a look of concern, wondering why my face was so red. I had mildly exerted myself during the race, but felt fine afterward. They thought I was having a heart attack but my hear rate was fine. It happened a few other times, and not always after physical exertion. I mentioned it to my Dr. at a physical and she told me it was Rosacea. (mind you, I very rarely get a pimple and have I fairly good complexion) She has given me a face cleanser to use and I have had minimal occurrences since then. I would run it past your doctors and see what they say.
