Exercising too much?



four months ago, I weighed 300. I am now down to 275 through diet and am now going to add exercise. I am going to gradually increase my exercise time so that I don't hurt myself. My schedule doesn't really afford me to go to the local gym, so I bought an exercise bike and weights. I will start with 30 minute cycling intervals and hope to be at 60-90mintues by the end of the month on a daily basis. Is this too much?

That might be a little too ambitious to double or triple the amount of exercise in such a short period of time.

That's an excellent plan. Cardio should be done every day and weights every other day.
there's never really too much cardio. except in the fact that if your heart starts to hurt or pump too fast then i would take a break. but 30 minutes should be good to start. might want to break it up into two 15 minutes sessions
yeah i agree with the first guy, i think walking for 30 mins is alot better for you
Im no doctor, but 60-90 min of cycling within a month for someone in your situation sure sounds like a lot to me. The harder you attack, the more likely you are to burn out. You want to transform yourself into an athlete permanantly. Give yourself some time to get there, because after all, you will be exercising for the rest of your life, so whats the hurry?
No, if you can do it comfortably you should be ok. Just listen to your body, it knows its limits.
