Good in-door exercises?

So I'm a broke college student, and I can't really afford expensive exercise equipment right now, although I'm considering splurging on an exercise bike next week.

I'm almost DEATHLY afraid of dogs, so taking a walk or jog at the park is WAY WAY out of the question. Can anyone recommend any good in-door exercises that will get my heart rate up?

Thanks. :)

well there r so many exercises u can do usin jst the floor beneath u....try doin squats for ur legs...a couple of press ups for ur upper body(which will also shape ur ab's)..n if u really need to concentrate on ur ab's do sit ups with ur legs streched and legs bent so that u bend n let ur elbows touch ur knee...
of course home aerobic DVD's are always good. another one is running up and down the stairs of your apartment complex or at your dorm. also if you want to do some sit-ups put a phonebook or you could use you books. put them on your chest to add extra weight to give you a better workout.
March in place for 15 minutes at a time. March, not walk.
Or spend $30 on a balance ball. It will probably come with a DVD for a work out and they're WONDERFUL! They look puny, but they really tone you up when used regularly.
Or buy a yoga matt and a beginner DVD and benefit your soul as well as your abs. :)
do a lot of push up and bend forward and backwards exercises; they';re really effeective
