My Weight.....A good or bad sign? |
I have always exercised regularly and still do.(5 days out of 7,usually 30 mins - 1hour, Exercise Bike , Lateral Thigh Machine,a fair bit of Weight training with Dumbells and sometimes Swimming. I vary it). I'm a Soccer Referee,officiating at quite a high level. I can still keep up with play,and I'm 49. The thing is,I weighed myself a couple of months ago and tipped the scales at 13st exactly. I kept up my exercise routine described and a couple of days ago weighed myself again. .....Once again I weighed 13st exactly. I'd like to be a bit lighter. Is the fact that I have'nt lost any weight,but also not put any on a good or bad sign? You do not mention your height so 13 stones do not mean much. Muscle weight more than fat, you could be loosing fat and gaining muscle and gaining weight, but it is good weight then. Just continue as you are, one week is not much time to see any big results. You can add some intensity to your work outs to increase caloric burn (take in consideration an increase in recuperation time too), and / or, : reduce: your alcohol intake, white flour products, pastry and white rice. Reduce your sugar intake, also watch what your drink there is a lot of hidden sugar in many drinks. That plus the exercise you do will keep you at a good weight for sure. Congrats on being 49 and still being able to follow the game at a high level, not an easy feat! good. nothing to worry about. With the exercise you are doing now you can eat the way you have been. However, if you were to delete some of the exercise you would probably gain weight. it's a good sign. You seem to be living within a good balance good lol Muscle weighs 3 times as much as fat, therefore you are gaining weight due to muscle increasing. Weighing yourself is no accurate way of saying how 'fit' you are. You must have noticed a leaner body? Feeling more energetic? etc I am on diet and have increased my level of exercises from nothing to 100% attempt. I was devastated to not loose one single ounce after six weeks so I went to my doctor. I had by the way lost 20 inches all over. She said I had toned up and fat was now becoming muscle which unfortunately for me weighs more. If you had measured your chest, wait, hips, thighs, arms etc and done it now you would have toned and lost inches so yes it is a good sign loosing inches of waist reduces circumference around belly and it better for heart according to my doctor. keep it up we can be in next Rambo film together lol |
