I want to lose 50 pounds...how should I go about doing so? |
I have started my way of eating all over again...I am only eating fresh fruit and vegetables right now...I am going to bring in the whole wheat stuff later on...but not meat! I am chosing to give up meat... I am used to eating fast food everyday...so I am working healthly foods in a little at a time...My exercise options are: kickboxing/dance dvd, yoga dvd, exercise bike, 5 pounjd dumbbells, one of those bars with weight on them, walking around my neighborhood or at the zoo... What are the best fruits and veggies to eat to lose weight...also what whole wheat stuff is best...and exercises are most effective in weight loss? You seem to be doing excellent right now but my favorite site for this sort of thing is http://www.nutritiondata.com/ play around at that site and they have options, on all the foods, to search for foods with more optimal health, weight gain, or weight loss. It is the most complete site I've come accross (but if you have a better one I'd love to see it! I have a love affair with nutrition) Go on weight wathers or one of those losing weight programs. Try the South Beach diet which is a low carb diet. Theres 3 phases to this diet. The first phase is the strictest, but it only last for 2 weeks. Then you gradually start adding in other foods in phase 2. My husband and I are still in phase 1, and after the first week, I've lost 3 lbs and he has lost 5. I'm also walking a couple of miles 3 times a week, and throwing in some crunches on the ab lounge 3 times a week. Good Luck www.southbeach-diet-plan.com I've just lost 70 lbs...working out to taebo, now I'm jogging..my eating routine is..breakfast-cheerios, piece of fruit at midmorning, salad with tuna(no dressing but mayo in tuna), piece of fruit during afternoon and either salad or cheerios for dinner...at this point I"m eating higher calorie foods for dinner but my metabolism has increase tremendously... Find something that you enjoy doing and go with it..kickboxing sounds great--you're on the right track! First, eat smaller portions. Eat no empty calories. Exercise, Walk, Walk, and do not get discouraged when a week goes by with no notitceable results. Allow yourself one treat meal a week but be sensible. You will lose the weight and keep it off. When I did this I never went to a buffet type meal as it was too tempting. Order lighter side on menus in restaurants.
