Ok, so I'm looking to lose weight and tone up, (legs and stomach especially) however not looking to become miss muscle woman - just to tighten up and slim down. Can anyone suggest good exercises, with this massive ball thing Ive just bought (i love bouncing on it!) and recommend how many miles would be good to ride an exercise bike and then at what rate should I increase the amount of miles I go etc etc.
Any other exercises you have found good, would be welcome also!
When I'm exercising, it's usually to burn excess calories more than strengthening or anything, so I recommend about 2 to 3 miles of brisk walking or cycling about 10 to 20 miles at about 5 to 7 mph. If you're looking to lose weight, don't forget to watch your calorie intake... keeping that around 2000 calories, or less, is vital to losing weight. The reason is that, more often than not, people will start exercising only to find their appetite increases as well. This is where vegetables and whole grains and fruits will help. They fill you up without filling you out. |
