I'm desperately trying to lose weight and I THINK I KILLED MY DIET TODAY??? :[ ?

Here's what I've eaten today...

Starbucks Grande Caramel Frappuccino [270 cals.]
Sonic Breaded Chicken Sandwich [582 cals.]

I'm not going to eat anything else today, except for drink alot of water. && if it makes any difference, i ate all of that before 1 pm.

My exercise from today...

-20 minutes highest level on exercise bike

-2 miles running on treadmill

-100 sit ups

-100 leg lifts [50 each]

-100 jumping jacks

I HAD to eat out, my mother made me. Do you think I'm going to gain weight from today? I'm 5'5'' and 215 pounds, i know that is unhealthy, but the important thing is; im trying to lose the weight, and i have alot of muscle. Most people think i weigh 150.

I'm a 16 year old female, btw.

The important thing is to get a healthy view of food. To really understand the caloric count and what you need in your day. Starving yourself is not good for your body. So you went to chick fil a, they have grilled chicken, and different salads to choose from. So you can eat out and choose to eat healthy wherever you are. Unless it's like Cinnabon then you're just screwed. (LOL!!)

You have to change your outlook on food, and what it means to you. A lot of times we have emotional or mental blocks related to food in our life, whether we are obese, chunky, thin, or anorexic. It is all the same problem of having a difficulty in how we relate to food.

My biggest advice, if you are craving that Starbucks Grand Caramel Frappuccino, then have it. Get a small one. Drink it slowly while enjoy every taste. You may decide you can't drink it all. However, if you are truly craving it and try to replace it you'll end up eating everything adding up calorie after calorie trying to fulfill that one need. When if you just filled the need to begin with youi'd save yourself the extra calories trying to avoid it. Also, because it's starbucks you could change it up with Soy, Skim milk, etc. to cut down on calories and still get the flavor that you are looking for.

Have you spoken to a nutritionest? It may be a good start for you to get a plan that you can work into your life for a lifetime of changes instead of just a small period of time.

Good Luck!!!You can still have a light dinner..maybe grilled chicken and salad....sounds to me like you are not eating enough food..you should not be eating sonic though..you worked out so you def burned t hat sandwich off..
No, you probably won't. And people need at least 1500 calories a day, maybe more. But if you really think you will gain weight from that (which I don't,not with all the exersise),then eat a light supper.
Okay, before you freak out some more, you should be fine eating a salad for dinner. Whenever things like this happen you should substitute one food for another. Because you ate out today you should eat something small, like a salad. Lettuce is only 10 calories. Add things to it and you are only at about 150 calories. Chips and Salsa are really low in calories too!

Never skip a meal if you want to be healthy. This will just make you keep the weight on. Seriously. Not eating makes your body go into starvation mode which keeps your fat so you can "survive" starving.

Also, in order to lose weight you should be eating atleast 1500 - 1700 calories a day. I try to keep mine in the 1500s. I always cheat though but make up for it with healthier alternatives. Like, if I am craving chocolate I will eat some of those 100 calorie packs. Just one.
First of all, you need to eat more than that in one day. I think you need a minimum of 1300 calories in a day to be healthy (please research that.) Also, if you want to lose weight you need to eat vegetables, fruit, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, protein, dairy (or substitutes.) And 8 glasses of water a day. You should keep a food journal, too.

You risk messing up your metabolism by not eating ENOUGH and you risk malnutrition.

Also, I think you are way overdoing your exercise. I'm 33 and I have lost over 40 lbs and kept it off for over a year by walking a minimum of 30 mins every day. I do a little running and a little Yoga, too.

The amount of exercise you did today is not sustainable. I could not stand to do that much! You have the classic "I want it all now!" problem that a lot of people have.

Dial back the exercise, start walking 10,000 steps a day (buy a pedometer) and exercise portion control with your eating.

If you are wondering how I lost and keep my weight off, I did it with Weight Watchers. They emphasize healthy eating and not cutting out food groups / unhealthy lifestyle choices. You should aim for 1 - 2 lbs loss per week. In a year you could lose 50 lbs or more. The slower you lose weight the more likely you are to keep it off.

My mom is obese and 56 years old. She has dropped around 30 lbs by cutting back on junk food / sugar, getting a little exercise and controlling portions / eating more healthy food.

Good luck!
