I was thinking about joining curves gym and I wanted to get opinions on if its worth it or not.? |
I joined weight watcher last october at 362 lbs and since then i've lost 73lbs. I've bought a few exercises dvds and i have an exercise bike. I am find myself getting bored with my workout and not really knowing what to do to tone my body now. i am realistic and i know i'll never have a 6 packbut i want to be comfortable with my body. I have a appointment to go check out the curves for women in my area and i wanted to know if it is really worth it. i think it might be more comfortable for me because i'm still 289lbs and i'm nervous to go to a gym with men and women. If anyone has gone and has liked it or not please let me know thanks. yes it is definitely worth it if you are trying to lose weight.also if there is a shapes around, that is only for women too,but if there isnt any,yes it is woth it to go to curves. If you are looking to just lose weight and tone your muscles, then yes, it is definitely worth it. If you are looking to add a little bit of bulk on your muscles, then no, it's not worth it. Yes. It's fun, fast, and you feel comfortable there..plus, it's more affordable in my opinion than going to co-ed gyms and paying yearly memberships. Yes, Curves is a great support system as well as lose weight and gain bone strength. They have a machine that can tell you how much body fat you have and as you are losing it. Sometimes the scales are not accurate due to water retension and womans regular monthly cycles. Phone for a consultation and book a first workout and you will see in the first month results. I almost garuntee it...I don't know your health history. My sister operates a Curves in our area. I joined Curves for 1 year. Here is my experience: Before you join check out the trainers at Curves first - some just sit behind the desk, but others go around to help you and motivate you with your workout. The more the trainers are into their work with you I think the more you will be motivated to work on your own goals. Curves will move around the equipment abt once a month to give you some variety, but it is still the same equipment in a different rotation so check that out to see if it is boring to you. Also ask them abt the music they play - is it to your liking? Best wishes you are off to a good start with losing 73 lbs-keep on going!! One very important thought is that no matter where you join, stick it out, don't quit. Start slow and speak to the staff that your interested in weight loss not building a strong body. As somebody who is large in size[was 319 lbs.] and over the last year am now around 270 lbs. the only thing I've done, because I have MS. is drink plenty of water. I mean at least 15 glasses of water over the coarse of the day. Whenever your thirsty don't drink pop or even diet, and tea without milk because the mixing of the two can cause heart problems, otherwise tea is a detoxifier |
