Why do I feel so sore after exercising? |
I am new to this and am taking things slow, but it seems after exercising, (treadmill and bike use) I become about 2 hours afterwards. It will get easier, i promise. Eat plenty of protein after working out to build muscle and to help restore them. A good night's sleep is great for you're mind to. Stay focused on you're goal and don't let soreness stop you. Lactic acid has built up into your muscles, try a cool down session after your workout, get plenty of protein and rest and you will be fine. This is due to a buildup in your muscles of lactic acid and other byproducts of muscle exertion. The way to get rid of it is to drink a lot of water and exercise again, which will help move the byproducts to your bloodstream and lymph system so that you can eliminate it from your body. Are you doing 15 or 30 min? Every day or every other? Are you stretching before or after? Are you drinking lots of water? its because you are new, and your muscles are not used to the exertion! your muscles may be ripping, and rebuilding themselves! and awesome job for exercising! :) work it out girl! Wether you take your exercise slow or fast, your mustles have to get used to the exercise, this should disapear in a matter of time. And starting off, you shouldent over exert yourself by exercising that long, go in smaller time frames,. Also try stretching befor exercising. experience |
