Heres the deal...I have recently lost 70 pounds of fat through healthy dieting and exercise. Now I want to add muscle; I typically bike and do other exercises but I am starting weight training. I picked up Body Fortress 100% Pure Creatine Powder at Wal-mart and am wondering if this is going to spike my sugar levels and such (I don't want to put on fat/water weight). On an off note, I am begining to see good veins in my arm-will this help enhance those veins (I know it is vain, ha)? Anyway-please explain for a newbie.
Ok well when your working out your body is using readily available energy called ATP. When your muscles grow they store an increasing amount of ATP and CP (creatine phosphate) which is used to help promote the rapid production of ATP. Basically creatine helps both with allowing you have increased strength because your producing more energy during you workouts and help stimulate your muscles ability to carry more creatine phosphate which results in larger muscle fibers. dont use creatine . use whey protein
