Which form or exercising is better----walking or biking? Both are great forms of exercise! It's better to just be moving and active instead of sitting on your couch doing nothing! Walking helps with all major muscle groups, especially if you carry small handheld weights while walking. By adding resistance, you are increasing the intensity of your workout. I walk 30 minutes daily and it's a great exercise! Bicycling is also a great exercise! Biking will really get your heart pumping, so yes, it's a great cardio workout! I am an avid biker myself, so I can attest to this. Since I do have to choose which one is the 'better form of exercise', my vote would go to walking. Walking can help strengthen your 'core', which is your abs and tummy area. Walking helps you lose weight, build muscle, strengthen your core. Any form of exercise is better than nothing! It keeps the adreniline pumping. walking has less strain on your knee cap biking is better at increasing your heart rate up both focus on lower body but rowing is better it focus on upper and lower body parts Biking. Walking can be hard on joints unless you've got a really good pair of shoes. Biking also tends to get your heart up more, which is necessary for cardiovascular benefit. |
