What are good exercises for teenagers? |
What are some good exercises that benefit teenager's to grow, stay healthy and give good physical activity. such as bike riding or running..what exercises can benefit teenagers the most at this age weights, running, sports, pushups, situps basketball and swimming are probably the two best exercises without stunting a teen-agers growth. follow what the football players do.. calisthenics.. everything they do is to build strenght and stamina.. football routine.. find a jock and ask what he does.. jumping jacks, pushups, sit ups, running in place.. leg lifts, etc.. hey if it works for them.. it will work for you.. good luck Getting out with their friends and playing games like Ghost in the Graveyard or a simple game of pick up football. Maybe wandering the woods trying to tap a deer on it's butt. Anything but sitting on the computer and playing with virtual friends. Any physical activity is good activity. If the teen enjoys running, encourage he/she to continue doing that. If it is basketball...likewise. About the only thing that is not recommended is if your teen is 14 or younger, exercises that include a lot of added weight isn't ideal. With adding weight to exercises, growth plates could be affected. Exercises that use the teen's own body weight as resistance are great! Sit-ups, push-ups, and lunges are good. |
