Why am I so sleepy after walks, exercises, and eating foods and why can't I shed any weight? |
No matter what I do I am sleepy and tired. I'm 5'6" and I weigh 200 lbs(lots of muscle here with 31% fat). I exercise a lot by lifting 5-10 lb weights, working out to Billy Blanks' Tae Bo tapes three times a week and ride my bike everyday. I take a multi-vitamin, but it makes me sick to my stomach. I eat small meals throughout the day avoiding fried foods and meats (except chicken, fish and shrimp). I walk everywhere I go. I can't even shed a pound eventhough I did all of this work. Nevertheless, I am energyless. My fatigue leads me to sleep automatically. What am I doing wrong? Am I exhausted b/c I weigh too much? Yes..you're exhausted because you exercise a lot and you're a bit heavy. Just because your weight doesn't change, that does NOT mean that your body fat ratio has not. Look for your BF% to go down, to determine if you're getting results. You may just be losing fat while gaining muscle. Keep at it though.! could be a thyroid problem. See the doc. Be checked for diabetes or an inactive thyroid Your not getting enough Iron in your system. Iron gives you energy, and without it alot of people can get an Iron deficiency. It's easily fixable, try adding Spinach to your diet, it'll make a huge difference in your enery levels. get no-doze or red bull first of all, 31 percent fat is not a lot of muscle, it's a lot of fat, 31 percent fat is pleasntly plump. Im 5-7 and 35 percent body fat and weigh 150 and i am chubby so u must be lying. second drink green tea or iced green tea to help with energy, hunger, and metabolism Eat meat, it satisfies hunger, you need it for the protein! thyroid problem perhaps. chronic fatigue syndrome? how long has this been going on (if long and consistent, could be cfs). did you have a major illness recently like mononeucleousis (if yes, could be cfs). go to the doctor no matter what. |
