Should I go see the Doctor? |
The last few weeks I have been having mild chest pains up to moderate pains. I am not really sure what's causing it. On Friday at work, the pain suddenly struck the center of my chest and I clutched my chest until the pain went away a minute later. A few minutes later it came again and I suddenly felt it enter the upper part of my back. This morning about 5:30 a.m. I woke up with my body feeling as if I was on fire, so I kicked off the blankets. I woke up an hour later very cold, but there was no fan or air conditioner turned on. I slightly felt the chest pain, but not as strong and it went away after a minute. Now I am 25 years, a little young to have this problem. I exercise everyday. I jog 50 minutes a day and Bike one day out of the week for 2 hours. My classes at College are almost ending, but I picked up some extra hours at work, and will be working 10 hours on some days. Should I be worried? Yes get your rear into the doctors office right away. Heart issues does not have a "starting age" I was 25 when I was diagnosed with chronic high blood pressure. I was in good shape and good health with no family history, it was quite a shock to me. So dont mess around. Get in and get checked out, if its nothing, no big deal you will have peace of mind, but if its something major, better to know now than before its too late! You are never too young for cardiac problems and do not let anyone ever tell you different ! It sounds as if you had a fever this morning. What you are describing and considering you had a fever it sounds as this maybe you your gall bladder. You need to see you doctor ASAP to have your heart ruled out and to see what is causing this. Once it is determined it is not your heart you should be sent for an sonogram of your gall bladder. Do not be discouraged if it comes back normal. This sometimes happens causing other attacks before anything negative shows up. Keep track of what you eat and see which foods maybe bringing it on. Avoid carbonated beverages and fried or fatty foods. Go to the doctor and get checked out. It's probably nothing for you to worry about. I started having panic attacks around that age. It felt like that. I would have strange pains in my chest, racing heart for no reason, skipped beats, jumpy, shaky, sweating....all out of nowhere for no reason. The attacks would last a few minutes and stop. But I swore I was having a heart attack or dying at that moment. I couldn't beleive it when the doctor said there was nothing wrong with me.....I had an echocardiogram, stress test and a bunch of other tests. Go, just to make sure......it could also be a thyroid problem. Also the reason I say there is probably nothing serious going on is because you are having these pains at rest and not when you are exercising. BUT you need to get checked. Ok if you feel like you have a elephant sitting on your chest it means you might be having a athsma attack.yes go to your doctor and find out what it is.The sooner you do the sooner you can get back to feeling better. If you leave things to long other problems will pop up..take care of it as soon as possible, I have athsma and my sister in law is a nurse(ans right next to me ^_^) see a doctor at once.......don't play around......something is wrong. also potassium is very important to your health. if your levels are low you could have heart problems.good luck |
