I'm a member of a gym, and I know that fitness is important during pregnancy as much as any other time, but I go really late at night when I get off work, so there's no attendant there to ask this. What exercises are safe during pregnancy? I've just been walking, biking, and doing some arm stuff, because I just want to be double-sure that I'm not doing anything to endanger the baby or myself or the pregnancy. I'm only seven weeks, but I know that in the months to come exercise will be more and more difficult. Any ideas or any answers from someone with experience would be greatly appreciated!
walking and biking, swimming are good, dont over stress any muscles, im sure you will be fine, just dont pick up too much and dont do a lot of bending. Only your doctor can tell you what exercises are best for you during pregnancy. Most doctors will say it is ok to continue an exercise program as long as you are not doing something to cause you to fall or strain muscles in your abdomen. You just have to be extra carefull now because eventually your center of gravity changes. i saw that yoga is good and so is walking on the tread mill..but you should ask your docter...
