Any personal trainers or diet Dr's out there.....? |
I'm just over 6ft tall and I regularly exercise about 3-4 times a week which includes weights, cardio, bike riding and swimming, I don't eat junk food but my weight has been at 16.7 stones (106kg) for about 18 months. I'm certainly not fat as I used to to a lot of weight training around 5 years ago. Ideally, I'd like to get down to 15 stone (95kg). Why aren't I losing any weight? your height at 6ft is pretty big & heavy alone, before we even get to your muscles from working out. . . . you are training alot, and probably lifting heavy weights alot too, which is keeping you heavy, and not letting you loose weiht, because your building on the muscle all the time. and muscle weights heavier than fat. so you arnt really burning fat when your at the gym, your just building on more muscle. . and your muscle is heavy. you seem to be on a seemingly good diet (going on what you said about no junk food etc), and keeping fit alot. so i think you sound fine, and dont need to loose weight. -if you are doing all those things (good diet, no junk food, and keeping fit alot) then only way to really loose weight, is to sacrifice some of your muscle.. and im sure you dont want to do that??????? just keep up the healthy eating and good healthy exercise. just dont over do it on the weight lifting, and you wont gain more weight :) do more cardio and back off abit in the weight lifting (and if you are weight lifting, dont be do too many too heavy weights. just light enough weights to keep you lean, and not bulk) hope that all makes sense to you Alex Joe Jo xxx your muscles are well trained and now your muscles are having resting time so they are growing so keep it up for a while then go back to 16.7 stones |
