If I'm already fat will doing weight training make my fat bulky


I am working out twice a day in the morning at the gym and in the afternoon jogging in the morning I do the eliptical, exercise bike as well after that I do work on the weights like doing things for my arms and legs but will working with the weights bulk up my fat?

I suggest concentrating on doing any "bulking up" BEFORE you work on losing weight. Here's why:

As you add muscle, you increase your body's resting and active metabolism - you burn calories (and fat) faster, even when you're just sitting around! Also, by increasing your strength first, you will be able to run/bike/row/etc. for longer (or faster).

You can still do some aerobic exercises to vary your routine and trim down a bit, but I recommend concentrating on lifting for the next month or so, then switching to a more balanced approach, followed by an aerobic-heavy workout.

It is possible to build muscle under fat, and then it just looks like a blob of bulk.

Take a look at some of the heavier pro wrestlers.

You should lose a majority of the fat before attempting to seriously build muscle.

No. More muscle mass= less fat mass, muscle kicks fat out.

    Weightlifting is not the best thing if you are recovering from an accident... try to focus on cardio work like walking the threadmill and other cardio exercises. Keep eating healthy food also.
