Is it possible to loose about 3-4 lbs a week with this workout?


Hi. I am going on holiday in about 3 weeks and I really want to lose weight. I'm not bothered if I don't have a complete pancake tummy but atleast look toned. This is my workout: 20-25 minutes on the exercise bike, 20-30 minutes jogging, 20 sit-ups, 30 minutes of dancing, 5 minutes of jump-rope, star-jumps, ball skills. I vary them about every week so one day I might do dancing, jogging, ball skills and bike, then the following day, sit-ups, jogging, jump-rope and star jumps. I also eat healthily and drink smoothies and juices instead of sodas.

P.S. I AM ALSO 5 FT 2 AND 13 YRS OLD.
AT THE MOMENT I WEIGH ABOUT 114-115 LBS.

that sounds like an excellent work out you have there!
i was so intrigued by it, i wrote it down, and i shall attempt this today after youth!
but anyways, this work out seems remarkable, and by my calculations, this will most def. work (if the 5 for 5 work out lost 5 lbs a week, this is more than 5 min, so it might auctually burn more callories and loose more weight!)
but watever the outcome is, good luck, and keep it up- cause this one seems like a winner! (:

Looks to me you have a good workout. I would suggest that you incorporate more resistance exercises as you need to build more muscle. The secret is the more muscle you have the EASIER it is to lose fat because more muscle needs more calories.

In the long term the more muscle you have the leaner you'll look. So it's really up to you. If you want outstanding results long term do more resistance exercises and reduce cardio. In a couple of months not only will you be leaner but you'll also be alot stronger than if you mainly did cardio.

    Weightlifting is not the best thing if you are recovering from an accident... try to focus on cardio work like walking the threadmill and other cardio exercises. Keep eating healthy food also.
