Is an hour on the excercise bike too much for a 14 year old? |
exercise What the hell is a 14 y.o. kid doing on an exercise bike instead of a real bike? An hour is nothing. I used to do that to spend all day swimming or playing rugby. At least they are exercising. They should be doing more and eating like a horse at that age. As long as they are looking after themselves, that is the main thing. No i did a 1 hour gym session (cardio) when i was 14/15 twice a week and i was in brilliant shape, and the fittest in my rugby team! Nope, but why isn't this kid outside ... on a real bike .... with you (you could use a little excercise too, right?) ... or running, playing a team sport. Unless you are in far northern Finland where it may already be getting dark 24/7 get the kid outside playing. No it is OK. It would do you a lot more good to ride a real bike out in the open and then you would get a variation on pace due to hills, inclines etc. You would also benefit from fresh air in the lungs which will assist your body to cope with the exercise. Hell no. If anything, why is the 14 year old bothering with an exercise bike? Get them a cycle, a water bottle and, if needed, an ordinance map for your area and kick them out for the day (Mobile phone optional). Even better, join them. no absolutely not . not at all. a lot of 14 year olds get more exercise than that riding bikes, playing sports, skateboarding, and other activities. No. When I was that age I used to ride my bike outside for most of the day. 1 hour on an exercise bike is good. It's better than sitting on the couch playing video games. lol :-) No. You will have the most stamina in your teens so make the most of it while you can. nope. hour is about right. i know some 14 year olds that train for a few (3-4) hours on their bikes. If you can handle it (which I think you can) go for it. I wouldn't stop til you can't go no more. noopeeee:] Nah. You're just doing yourself an immense favor. No. nope. =] No, as long as you don't let him go too far from home. ROFL, no! Why would it be ? nope. nope. it's just right :) |
