How much weight can I, a 14 year old, lose by September 2


Hi. I'm 14 and I weigh about 170 and i'm 5'2.
If play Dance Dance [the workout mode], go on walks, bike rides and eat the right foods how much weight would be healthy to lose by september 2? Because that's my first day of school.
I know I should have started sooner but I just kept putting it off. "Oh I'll just start next week" or "I already ruined it for this week, maybe next week". But I don't want to put it off any more.
I can't afford to go to a gym, and I don't have any exercise equipment.
I would also like some tips about what kinds of foods to eat and some other things I can do for exercise. I would REALLY appreciate it.

It's free and I used it for a while and it helped me get an idea about my own body goals etc. They will tell you how much weight is healthy to lose by a goal date or how long it should take for you to reach your goal weight. Hope you like it!

at your age i was concerned about my wieght too. i would not do anyhitng drastic but a slow start on a healthier lifestyle, but no sodas no candy no chips. that is pretty much cutting out all the big factors of overweight teens. start looking at what goes into what your eating and try to stay away from trans fats and high fructose corn syrup. i did a lot of whole grain cereal(special k) and fruit.

as for working out i would start with what you can do and build. when i mean "what you can do" i mean really push yourself. try a sport in high school. i play lacrosse for my high school and it has done nothing but good for me. it teaches you discipline, teamwork, and its a good work out. i cannot stress the goodness of running. try a mile and build up another mile a month. DDR is not really a work out, if u like it keep doing it but it only works if you get ur heart rate pumping for an extended period. CARDIO RUNNING CARDIO!!!! biking is also good too for fitness and good joints. try to find a good bike trail and do like 10 miles and keep building up. in anything u do keep pushing yourself. also i kant stress water enough water water water. if ur like me and kant really "like water" get propel on the go packets and just pour.

if u try i can see 10 lbs. but thats pushing yourself. dont get discouraged if u dont see results instantly cuz no matter how hard u try it wont be as fast as u like. give it a go and tell me some progress. or if u have more questions.JRS1991x101x@yahoo.com
