I've lost the motivation to exercise...what's happened to me? I actually cry at the thought of exercising!!

Please help! I'm so confused as to what has happened to me. I used to exercise so much, and these past few months, i have been exercising a hell of a lot, usually going on my exercise bike for an hour and a half a day and jogging too.
This morning i was all ready to set off on a jog, i even opened my front door too but i just couldn't bring myself to do it. I do feel tired too but what's more i can't be bothered. I haven't really done much exercise this week....
mon= 45 min jog, 20 min exercise bike, 30 min tone up workout (i repeated this tues and wed)
Thurs= swimming 45 min, yoga 45 mins
but fri, sat and now today i've totally lost the will to exercise and just feel so tired. I couldn't stop crying lastnight at the thought of having to go for a jog this morning....please help me! what has happened to me? I now despise exercising. I hate feeling this way!

Think about how great your body/muscles will look after you work out.

you shouldnt dwell on the past
whats important is the future, it doesnt matter how you got where you are but where your going
work yourself up again, just do light exercise, even if this means going for a 10 minute walk
eventually youll get going again, just dont overdo it and make sure your getting enough nutrition so your not tired

Ur over doing it, and ur body is telling ur mind its had enough, I have been in the same boat recently, and over doing it has just made me feel miserable (have a look at my last question I posted) give urself rest days inbetween training days and lessen the intensity, when u do get back into it, but in the mean time, try and rest up as much as possible and hopefully u will regain the will again.

all the best

Sound like you are a classic case of doing too much too soon and have suffered for it. To start again just walk around the block for a week then increase it the following week and maybe go for a light swim. It WILL come back to you. Don't feel pressured into exercising.

It's ok if you don't want to exercise all the time, join the club! Don't be so hard on yourself. I was going to do an hour of step aerobics tonight, but instead here I am on Yahoo! lol. Give yourself a break & stop worrying, you'll get back into the swing of things soon.

don't overdo it. find ways that are enjoyable to you. find company, maybe put on some good music and dance.
oh and eating healthy always helps.

Your Just tired. It's OK to exercise 30 mins. a day. Try lessen the time on exercising.

If you are doing all of this aiming for a specific goal (marathon, tournament of some sort, etc.) then focus on that and how good it will feel when you finally make it there and all the hard work you are doing pays off.

If you are just doing this to stay in shape, then only do what you find fun. I only do the exercises I find enjoyable while trying to stay balanced overall. Personally I enjoy some calisthenics and jogging and that's about all I do. Doing a little bit consistently is a lot better than "binge" exercising and then not doing anything at all for extended periods of time.

In your case though, it seems like you only are hitting a bump in the road and just need a little break. It looks like you had a pretty decent schedule going, but personally I never do the same thing two days in a row. Then I do tend to get a little bored eventually, so you might want to try to at the very least alternate routines from one day to the next.

At any rate, you do a hell of a lot more than the average person, but at the in the end just do what makes you happy. Good luck!

An hour and a half of your exercise bike, plus jogging is more than enough each day, but with swimming and yoga and "tone up workouts"? That is an awful lot of exercise!

You say that you haven't done much this week, but Monday-Thursday you exercised about 1h 30m each day. You do need to take it a bit easier, it can actually do more harm than good to exercise this much.

Your body also needs a certain amount of rest periods each week, just so that it can recover. Ideally, exercising every other day is the best.
