Exercise and no diet?


hi, well i have recently quit smoking (january) and alcohol (march) and have got into a bad habit of eating whenever i want as opposed to whenever i am hungry. i have also been sick with colds and asthma since quitting smoking (think my lungs are cleaning lol) so i havent been able to exercise at all. now i am at the biggest i have ever been at age 25, and i am miserable.
we have a lot of changes going on in our life at the moment and dont feel that i am in the right frame of mind to be going on a strict diet. i eat good food, good meat and veg, could eat more fruits and less snacks but never eat junk food or soft drink.
i wanted to know if i exercised for an hour a day (treadmill and exercise bike) everyday, and ate pretty much whatever i am now, am i likely to still lose weight?
it also throws my eating pattern out as i am a night shift worker, will be strict one day soon but for now wanted to know if exercise is enough

have a 2yo and not having anymore kids so would love to get pre baby bod back!

yeah you should lose weight doing that, but it will take a lot longer than if you reduced your energy intake, but keep up the exercise
