In a bit of a pickle... please help me? (exercise/weight loss)?

Okay. I have kind of gotten addicted to exercise...obsessed with doing more and more to keep my weight down, only it isn't keeping my weight down and my weight stopped going down.

I started off doing just 30-45 minutes on my exercise bike, 4 times a week.

But now I am doing 1 hour a day, plus another hour of brisk walking plus another 40 minutes of toning/calisthetic type exercises..all this every day.

And I don't know how to adapt it so that some of the muscle will shrink back but I will stay toned and start losing weight?

My diet is fine. I am pretty controlled, so that is not the issue.

Please advise me?

My weight is within the normal range, I just wish to lose around 3-4 Ibs more. I was 3 Ibs lighter but the exercise pushed it up again.

I don't think I want to encourage your behavior. First because I don't know how much you weight. You might already be on your ideal weight and I could just be promoting an unhealthy behavior. Your best bet is to speak to your doctor.

keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat and also you may have reached a plateau. I had one that lasted 8 months
but when it passed my weight droped fast- don't be discouraged. And when you say controlled are you watching you fat intake, less than 20 grams is good.
You are exercising a lot.(building muscle) you could try only doing aerobics (1hour per day) with very little toning/calisthetics (20 min), this will burn the fat without building muscle. good luck

What you can do is to go on a high protein diet. Don't eat any kinds of rice, bread, flour, potatoes, biscuits and basically anything that's starchy. You can eat lots of protein, which means you can eat chicken, beef, pork, fish, shrimps, cuttlefish and also fruits and vegetables. Also try an internet search on "high-protein" diets. It's the same as a low carb diet. You increase you proteins and decrease your carbs. It works. Very quickly. Good luck.

your body gets used to the same routine everyday so you need to change it up a little even have a cheat day in your diet
