Hi, wanted to know is a Treadmill good or a Exercise Bike, any suggestions pls.? they're both cardio exercises so they're both amazing. although i have to say running (treadmill) helps me tone my entire body in a short period of time. for me, it just seems impossible for my upper body to get toned as fast as treadmill did than the exercise bike because you're actually just sitting (or half way) there working out your entire legs/buns. Both are good for getting your cardio going. However, the bike keeps your arms stationary while the treadmill leaves your arms free to pump and provides a better over-all work-out. Ellipticals are good. I have one. It works your arms and every muscle in your legs, which makes it already better than those two. The elliptical almost mimicks running, but without your feet impacting the ground. A Treadmill or an Elliptical Glider burns more calories because you are carrying your own weight, therefore burning more calories. With an Exercise Bike, you are sitting on your butt and just running your legs around. I like the exercise bike, particularly because I have had problems with stability. You can sit on the exercise bike and change settings to get the speed and tension you need. Mine also has a built in heart rate monitor. I use it particularly in winter. In the summer, I do light walking. |
