Which one will help me lose weight faster a treadmill or a exercise bike? Treadmill might because you can jog, walk, go up hill...etc. Treadmill you use your arms so you can lose more with your arms. Neither if you just look at them! But to answer your question, the Bike will be easier on your joints, and both have settings for difficulty. If you are in good health ` and have a personal preferance, choose it. My meaning is, pick the one (either the bike or treadmill) you are likely to continue using. Note some people like to read or watch TV while using these devices. Reading is easier on a bike. I use a treadmill, I think it give you more of an all around workout. both, but just plain walking in the fresh air will also do the same thing. 4 yrs ago I weighed 167 pounds. I walked 1 mile a day, then 2, then 3, etc. In about 11 months I was down to 122 pounds . Also, drink lots of water. split up your walk if u like, a.m. and p.m. 2 1/2 yrs ago I was seriously hurt at work, sprained knee, ankle; dislocated knee; shoulder injuries; herniated disk and pinched nerve Lumbar 3,4,5. So I have put weight back on as I am now seriously disabled. I am working at it, very, very slowly. I drop about 3 pounds a wk due to minimal exercise. Only source is from my own experience. Patients is very important when trying to lose weight. G L |
