1300 calories isn't much... you might need more than that or your body will go into 'starvation mode'--meaning your metabolism will slow down, hindering weight loss.
look into it a bit more, i listed a couple sources that may be helpful.
it's also important to eat a lot of protein when trying to lose weight, or you will lose muscle. also, try strength training to tone & burn calories. this might make you lose less weight, but it will be because you've gained muscle & lost fat (muscle weighs more) so you'll be smaller.
