How much weight will I lose eating 1000 calories a day and riding an exercise bike for 30 Min's a day? |
I'm a healthy male, 210 pounds You should eat around 1200 calories a day. If you're on an exercise bike for 30 minutes a day, however, I believe that you will lose around 4-5 pounds in your first week, and 2-3 pounds weekly after that. two to five pounds a week, perhaps, depending on your calcium and B Complex intake, as well as how much of the weight is muscle and not fat. think of it like this: your healthy, male body generally burns 2200 or so calories in a normal, active day. A pound of fat is 3600 calories, so you have to burn 3600 calories not taken in to lose a pound, right? Calcium is needed for your body to metabolize fat, so include a fair amount of dairy (low sugar yogurt would be best) in that 1000 calories, and B Complex vitamins increase the general metabolic rate, enabling you to more efficiently use those calories.
