as long as you possibly can, im not trying to be offensive but if you do it to the maximum amount of time the weight will come of quicker.

join a gym where there lots of machines and aim to burn about 500 calories a day - its different with everyone. some people go slower than others.

I think health and fitness people like Gillian McKeith recommend 3 x 30 min sessions per day. Of course, balanced with a healthy diet!
