What are the advantages of exercise bikes? |
i need advice on how much time per day we should spare for home exercise bike and what habits should we develop to obtain good health results? well 20 minutes of any kind of aerobic excercise is a good balance. Even if you just do it 3 times a week. The excercise bike is great for the lower body but does not do much for the upper. The advantage is you do not have to go outside to do it and you can watch tv while you do it. The other advantage is you can do it at whatever pace you decide and move up from there. They even have classes just for the excercise bike at local YMCA'S and other gyms. I would mix using the excercise bike with weights. Do weights and rotate bike taking off one day of the week without any excercise. Unless of course you are wanting to become a body builder then that is a whole other workout routine. Good Luck.you dont have to go outside. so you can do it at whatever temperature you want. no hills, but if you want you can set it to have hills. you can see how fast you're going and your mileage. Low impact. Not as hard on the joints as running on a treadmill. I know that is really good for your legs and especially for your butt I used to be on my sisters bike about an hour a day and that did me fine. I got really toned and I had a flat stomach from doing that for an hour a day. I ate good food to though, so you can't just rely on that. 1/2 hour at least. Its best to have a tv to watch or you probably won't do it and it will just gather dust. I know this from experience. I personally prefer the treadmill or the stairmaster. |
