After birth exercise.? |
i intend to 'attempt; to start exercising within the first week after birth. i am aware i wont have time to go to the gym initially so i am planning on hiring. i dont know whether ot hire an exercise bike or a crosstrainer. i think an exercise bike, because i can spend longer on it, but i am unsure how my condition will be after pregnancy re- stitches, no stitches, sore etc. can anyone who hhas experienced this as at all give me some advice....and maybe further sugestions of exercises. ANYTHING could happen. You may end up with a c-section and that could change everything. You are crazy if you think you will be able to exercise within the first week after giving birth. You shouldn't really exercise (besides walking) for the first six weeks! Wait until your OB gives you the okay to start exercising. Before that, you maybe setting yourself up for many problems, including hemorrhaging. Source(s): I am a nurse and mom of a nine month old son. ask your doctor Is your question referring to Excercising after giving birth or excercising with your after-birth? You cannot do the exercises like you're describing for several weeks after having a baby. You can do stretches, but not strenuous activity at all. You really need to have a conversation with your doctor, it's clear you have no idea what to expect to go through after you have your baby... good luck~ Sorry I don't have experience yet but know many mother who have. A cheaper way is to do gentle sit ups and also just raise your bum off the floor and hold the stance this strengthens your pelvic muscles again - I believe this to be really important. Hope this helps slightly. Alternatively put in pelvic floor excercises on yahoo and see what it displays. Good luck with your birth and new baby. If you don't have a c-section, you may start walking for exercise 1 to 2 weeks after the birth. This means walking 30 minutes per day. (No bike, no running.) After 4 weeks and with you dr's approval, you can start more intense exercise. |
