Is exercise effective if its not strenuous? |
eg an hour of walking without getting all sweaty, an hour of exercise bike but not too the point when your out of breath.... the list could go on the question is do you have to make exercise difficult.... define "effective"... fat is burned most efficiently at a heart rate that is maintained by going 4.5-6.0 mph on a treadmill, not the 8.0-9.0 that resembles a full sprint for most...so in this instance, NO. Exercise does not have to be difficult, it just has to be regular, it needs to be done daily, no weekends off. RN every thing adds up thats the latest from the council on physical like three twenty minutes of walking is as good as thirty its all good just add a little more a day if you want to lose weight or get healtier yeah, I think it is my doc said I have to do a "brisk" walk every day I don't like to move fast though, for anybody or any thing I wonder what qualifies as brisk and if a slow 2 hour walk is as good as a 30 minute brisk one not sure on that Get your heart rate into the target zone (usually between 150-170 beats per minute) for 30 mins 3x/week. Very Aerobic. |
