Ok Bry I will help you with number 1.

Percent is part divided by the whole times 100

in number one the part would be the amount withheld.

the whole would be his weekly salary.

divide part by whole and multiply by 100 your answer should be between 20 and 30%

1) 25%

1) 25%
2) 300 X 7=2,100 (week salary)
575.05=2100
$2675.05 final answer
3) Im not sure if there is enough info
4) 72%
5)87%
6)$181.09

1. % of Brandon's withholding tax:
= 100%($62.50/$250.00)
= 100%(1/4)
= 25%

2. Daniel's earnings:
= $300.00 + 0.07($8,215.00 - $5,000.00)
= $300.00 + 0.07($3,215.00)
= $300.00 + $225.05
= $525.05

3. Jacob's monthly sales:
= $1,500.00/0.15
= $10,000.00

4. Discount and discount rate on boots:
Discount:
= $119.95 - $85.95
= $34.00

Discount rate:
= 100%($34.00/$119.95)
= 100%(0.283)
= 28.3%

5. Discount and discount rate on stereo:
Discount:
= $399.99 - $349.99
= $50.00

Discount rate:
= 100%($50.00/$399.99)
= 100%(0.125)
= 12.5%

6. Original price of scooter:
= $139.30/(1 - 0.3)
= $139.30/0.7
= $199.00

1. (62.5/250)*100=percent
25% is withheld for taxes

2.300+(.07*8215)
300+(575.05)
$875.05

3. 1.15x=1500
1500/1.15=x
$1304.35

4. 85.95/119.95
85.95 is 72% of 119.95 so it is a 28% discount

5. 349.99/399.99
349.99 is 87% of 399.99 so it is a 13% sale

6. 139.3/7 equals 10% of the original price
19.9 is 10 precent of the full price now * by 10 and you get the real price so it is $199 the original price
