I have seen on electric scooters that they have like 500 watts. What dioes watts mean and what significance does it have for a scooter? Watts are the same as Amperes. Usually broken down into milliamperes for smaller uses like computers etc. As to your scooter it refers to currant flow in a given situeation such as traveling along at maximum speed especially climbing a hill.
As to a battery....your scooter has a battery just a bit larger than flashlight battery. It can produce maximum power for a short time and will get hot thus destroying itself. Or if used sparingly it will last longer.
There is a formula for detirmining the amps=watts found in many dictionaries.
How you use the scooter will detirmine when you must replace the battery. Don't allow the battery to remain discharged for long as they have a memory and won't take a recharge. Electric scooters are a novelty and by many considered a toy. However there are also adult scooters such as "Hoverround" that have especially made "deep cycle" batteries that are expensive and made to turn small motors for a very long time....at low speed. IT IS HOW MUCH ELECTRCITY is in something and it is like a measure for electrcity it is just another way of saying how much power something has... ex: stereo reciver, tv etc. |
