I'm about to get banned from driving.is there anything i can drive?

is there any vehicle i can drive on british roads without a licence ive heard you can if its electric and has peddals even if you cant use them and they are hidden.if this is so is there a web site where i can check this out.or should i just get a decent bike and get fit

Can you ride a bike with only one arm?

And anyway, you're a recluse according to your next question, so why are you bothered about going out?

Bicycle

There's electric assisted push bikes. They had one on the Gadget Show a few weeks ago.

Did you know you get done for being in charge of a bicycle whilst under the influence of drink so i do not think there is anything you can use

Not a popular answer i am sure. But if you are getting banned i bet there is a darn good reason for it.

sorry mate nothing with an engine on public roads . been banned myself 2 years drink drivng if youre the same ask to go on the prism course 拢200 but it cuts a quarter off youre sentence and you will learn a valuable lesson .i was cycling 18 miles a day back and forth too work .fit as a fiddle now

sorry, no vehicle that requires insurance...so it's the push bike for you!!...or a bus!!

I think you're looking at a mobility scooter as your only alternative.

So... why are you banned from driving? Stupid isn't it - you're now left with this dilema.

All I can say is a bike - that is it - not motorbike - a bike, or walk. Nothing else.

The law relating to this dates back to 1983, and covers what you can legally use on public roads in the UK.

The limits are: 200W continuous power (250W for tricycles and tandems), 15mph maximum assisted speed, maximum weight 40kgs (60kgs for tricycles and tandems).

As long as your cycle is within these limits, and you are over 14, you can ride your bike legally on UK roads with no restrictions. This law is laid down in the Road Traffic Act, and the police have the power to enforce it.

Hope that helps.

Could you tell us why you are banned?

There are only two types of vehicle you can legally use on British roads without a driving licence: pedal powered and electrically powered vehicles (not hybrids).

any ride on machine that doesn't require a road licence such as a fork truck, walk with sweeper, ride on wet and dry,

Get a bike. The only thing you could drive on the footway is an electric wheelchair and that's a lot slower than a bike.

Bicycle..thats about your lot.
And..if you work for a company that needs to take a Fork Lift Truck or any other such equipment on a public highway..I don't think you can even drive those either..

Bicycle,Roller skates.Walk.Run,jog.

hmmmmm yeah I get your reason for posting your other question, people are quick to judge aren't they. I think disabled scooters are okay & boy do they move when in charge of a granny LOL

Use the BUS, mate, - you'll be doing your BIT, to fight Global Warming!

You would need to talk to a police officer or the department of licensure in your area. I know that in the case of my cousin (who was having seizures) he was banned from driving and as a result had to be driven places and give up his car. It would not have been safe for him to have a motor bike or anything. He was even banned from buses (in his area he was only allowed on the handicapped bus and then only with someone else to make sure he was okay, so they just drove him). Good luck in your search.

get bike and get fit and keep a bright reflective slicker in saddle bag it may save your life too.

horse and cart, you can really p*ss the old bill off by going slow in your town centre, they cant do a thing about it,,,,,, horses still take priority on the roads, where do you live ill come down with mine and really give everybody the ****!!!!!
