I would also suggest the crf150r if you are only intending to use the bike as a trail bike. I think the honda is a better option than something like the ttr125 or the klx125. If you are intending to race and have some experience you would have to rethink and perhaps go for a crf150r.

Since you are only 5ft tall and light I would say to go along to a dealer and have a sit on some bikes to see if you can touch the ground and also to feel the weight of the bikes.

Honda xr 100. you can't kill them and they have plenty of power.

It has nothing to do with brand. It has to do with engine displacement, chassis size versus the size of the person. I would suggest a CRF 150 F (not R, mellow but powerful enough) on the Honda side.
