What is the best 08 450 4 stroke dirt bike to buy?

was looking at the honda crf450x but have read mixed reveiws wont be racing it just some weekend rides

the CRF450X is a great bike although I have heard some issues with the '08 model (at least the R version) that a friend of mine has encountered since he purchased his.

but if you are looking along the lines of the X model, you might also look into the KTM EXC line and the Yamaha WR line if you are mainly doing trail riding. any of these three can be ligitimate harescrambles race bike, great enduro bikes and general all around play bikes...

I have 2 KTM EXCs 520 & 525 that I use as my general all purpose bikes along with a CRF450 for more serious MX tracks.

If you are looking at woods bikes you only have 3 real choices. The CRF-X, the WR-F and the KTM450XC-F. I race east coast hare scrambles from time to time and not many people like the 450 for tight woods riding. I have heard rumor of a 380 4 stroke from KTM next year for that very reason. If it were my money and I had to have a 450 it would be the KTM first, Honda second and Yamaha as my last choice. I love Yamaha's, just not the WR450.

go with a kx450 it is more of a trail bike but could be a great race bike to they are more realiable than the crf

kx450 and its not a trail bike the klx450 is the trail bike
