Will my dirt bike be a bigger gas hog when the spark arrestor is out? |
Will my dirt bike be a bigger gas hog when the spark arrestor is out? as others have stated, removal of the spark arrestor should not have much, if any, impact on performance or fuel consumption... potentially increase the sound level and become a danger to the property you are riding... No not really Nope, The spark arestor offers little resistance. You will not have any change in power. However, if you remove the spark arestor and cause a fire, you will be responsible for that. Many states are very sensitive when it come to fires. dude you will probebly burn everthing you ride past A spark arrestor does not add to or take away from your bikes performance. It prevents fires. You gain a little more "noise" without it. but if caught, in many areas, you get a ticket. It's better to upgrade the exhaust to a performance pipe (with spark arrestor) if you are wanting more performance. But, don't forget you are going to have to change your air fuel mix if you do change pipes. |
