Would I be better off buying a whole new bike or buying an engine and replacing it myself? I have experience replacing engines in cars but not on a dirt bike...any ideas?
I'm sure you could fine on on line some where, but here's the problem, I highly doubt that a 250cc 2 stroke motor will bolt up to the 4 stroke frame, as the mounting points for the two motors will be different. You would also have to change the radiator and the mounts for it to adapt to the 2 stroke. I have a 96 KX 250 and love the motor, just wish I had one of those new light weight aluminum frames.
