I am 14 years old and want to get a dirt bike what should i get i am small and not very strong i am 5 foot 5? |
yea well thats about it want a dirt bike mainly leaning to yamaha ime short not strong If you are fond of Yamaha go for the TT-R125L or the TT-R230. Just see which one fits you best. The only other real offerings for a 14 year old beginner would be the Honda CRF150/230, Kawasaki KLX125L or the Suzuki DR-Z125L. get a scooter first, to feel the extreme power of the scooters engine you should get a job at the library NOT GET ONE WAIT TILL YOUR OLDER!!!! My son is 11 years old, is just under 5 feet tall, and weighs about 105 lbs. He currently has a Yamaha TTR 125. Since you are older, you may want a little bigger bike. My son suggested that if you have a Yamaha dealer close to you, that you go down to the dealer and talk to them and see what they recommend. They will have different sized bikes that you can look at and sit on, to see what sized bike would be good for you. And before I get a lot of heat from people saying my son is too young to have a dirt bike, let me just say that he has and always wears, all of the necessary protective gear, and never rides without supervision. hay im 21 ive riden alot of bike and 14 a good time to start a good bike to get at you age in my opinion is a kaw. 125 it will last you a long time i bought my first 125 when i was 13 i thought it was too much bike and if you buy a bike yam. or decide something else and think its too big before you sell it go to the dealer and ask for a larger rear sprocket by like 3 teath it changes your ratio making it have a little more acceleration but slowing it down after you get used to that jump back to stock and you'll be ready to ride tear it up little buddy keep the sport alive watch stewart in the mx and then you'll want a kaw. all of my boys ride alot stick with a four stroke unless you like to work on bikes . two strokes are fun but about double the maintenance. the new honda crf 150r is just about perfect for your size plus it has gobs of power for you to grow into. depending on where you will be riding. we have hondas kawasakis and a yamaha they are all good its just honda is the only one now with a racy 150 |
