Which dirt bike should i get?

my first bike was a yamaha ttr 125 le and its time for a new bike.. i'm looking for something that can be perform well on both trail riding and motocross tracks and preferably a 4 stroke. the reason why i say 4 stroke is that i hear that it is better with gas and needs far less maintaining..

yz
CFR 450 Honda is a great all around bike
CFR 250 is an affordable bike
Or Yamaha YZ'z are good
Been riding for 27 years
Go to epinions.com. You will probably get lots of answers and opinions.
4 strokes require MORE maintenance than 2 strokes. The oil and filter must be changed every 5 hours or so. The valves must be adjusted by a trained mechanic. And, if you blow an engine, the repair bill can be thousands. Check through the classified ads; you will find riders who are selling their 4 strokes because the engine blew and the repair cost is higher than the value of the bike.
A 2 stroke might need a new piston every year but that's about all.
Stay clear of KTM's .... utter muck
Hey, I just bought a 2007 Suzuki dr-z 400s. It is a Dual Sport 4-stroke bike with well enough power for on and off road use, (I go riding trails and single track about twice a month) and I love it. Maintenance is about the same as a reg street bike. Just get rid of the factory tires at the dealership and get some with some real bite!
