What motorbike/dirt bike would be suitable for me? |
Me an my dad have got an ol Yamaha WR200 but is too big and heavy for me? Anyone got any ideas on what bike i should purchase? Somethin that i can touch the ground on an move easily without struggle haha? I want somethin.. fast an fairly new Im 15, female, fairly fit lol, average height, i aint weak but that bike weighs a tone. Anyone got an idea on what bike would be suitable for me, myself and I? like stated, put lowering links on the WR to adjust the height to suit you. The XR200 & XL200 will weigh about the same, so no real improvement there. the CRF230 is a bit shorter and lighter and is a really good choice for alot of female riders. the engine is basically the old XR engine. if that's still too big for you, then move down to a CRF150F (not R, as it is truly a race bike and will be a bit much to learn on) ... likewise, the 2 strokes will be a little bit lighters, something along the lines of a KX, CR, YZ, RM 80/85/100 but if you are a beginner, I would recommend putting a fly wheel weight on it to tone the peaky 2 stroke engine down a little bit (which are easily installed)... The bike you have is suitable... if you lie it down on its side & can pick it up again whilst standing beside it. its light enough for you... you can adjust the shocks at the back to make it easier to touch the ground.. or put lowering links on it... once you know how to ride that one the new fast light bikes will be a breeze.... & your less likely to throw it down on its side.. learn on the cheap one... dosnt matter so much if you throw it away at great rate of knots...as long as you survive..LMFAO 35 years riding & counting... Try a Honda CRF150F or CRF230F. These bikes are reasonably small, probably perfect for the average 15 yr old girl. If these bikes are too new and out of your price range, try a Honda XR200R or XL200R. These bikes are very easy to ride and are almost indestructible. yo i got a 125/L Suzuki...
