Any advice for beginner on buying a Dirt Bike Motorcycle?!?!? |
Looking to buy a 2000 Yamaha YZ125, the bike is in excellent condition, never raced, and has been professionaly maintained. It has many modifications. I want a nice learning bike for riding trails & back wood areas. Good? No way? Whatcha think? What is your weight ? If your over 150 pounds you need to move up in motor size. What price is the seller asking for the bike? The YZ is a high revving motor. Not good for just taking it easy. Maybe a dual purpose bike would be better. Try riding the bike. Do you like it? something small. go 125- 250 cc. good for dirt biking and beginner riding. i had a suzuki dl 650 . great bike but big for a starter bike. life as arider. i think that you should stay away FAR AWAy from dirt bikes! i am living proof that you if you dont know how to ride one, just dont do it! i have a broken leg, which not has a titanium rod inside the bone which is held in place with 2 screws.....sucks a s s. Dirtbikes arent safe, even the most experienced rider will have wrecks and bad breaks, why put yourself through that? its not worth the pain. seriously, get another hobby! good luck! http://motorcycles.about.com/cs/beginner... Sounds like a great buy, get the bike. |
