I am 5' 8" 130 pounds looking for a dirt bike. what size bike should i get? |
im 14 and this would be my first bike any full size bike should fit you fine, although they might be a little bit on the tall side for you to begin with. something along the lines of the following: any of the japanese 125 2 strokes (CR, YZ, KX, RM) but those might be a bit peaky to learn to ride on since they are full up MX race bikes. any of the japanese 250 4 strokes (CRF, YZF, KXF, RMZ) which are a bit easier to ride due to being 4 stroke but again are full up race bikes. an easy resolve for that is to merely get any of the above bikes and add a $30-50 flywheel weight on it to change up the torque curve to make it more rideable until you get used to riding it and then remove it if you want to ride more on the cutting edge on a MX track. at your size you will be dissappointed buying a smaller bike as you will quickly outgrow it size wise and power wise... in my opinion. try the crf150r it comes in two styles stock and big wheel it has plenty of power for your size Any 125cc would be a good learner bike for you. 250cc should be fine. Yamaha TTR 125 or Honda CRF 150F. Also Suzuki DRZ 125 and the Kawasaki KLX 125 (same bike, just different color.). Great reliable beginner bikes that you can have fun with and learn safely on. |
