Washing dirt bike pressure suit? |
my pressure suit was bought on ebay and received smelling terrible with sweat odor. I've washed it many times and smell doesn't get out. I don't want to just throw it in the washing machine since it has plastic padding on it and I'm afraid the machine will mess it up. How do I get rid of the smell? thanks. I had the same problem with my suit, only the sweat was from me. I know it's a pain, but if you can get any of the armor off and turn it inside-out that 's the best way. Then lay it flat on the ground. If you can get a big soft brush and a strong liquid detergent, that would be the best. Believe it or not, shampoo with a strong fragrance like herbal essence, also works. Just use the brush and soap with some water until you scrubbed it real good, but be carefull not to rip the fabric lining (soft brush is important, and then rinse it like crazy, and let it dry for 24-48 hours. Oh and if you can't get it turned inside out, submerge it in a big bucket with some soap, and bat it around some to get it all soapy, and let it soak for a day. Then rinse and dry the same way.
