My kick start on my dirt bike has jammed or stuck any body know WATS wrong.or how much it would cost.? ur question really doesnt tell us much. more info should be included. is it jammed in the up position, or down? if down, it might be from a busted spring inside. if i were u, i'd get a service manual for the bike before u start tearing into it if u plan on wrenching it urself. the manual needs to be specific for that bike. a sportster manual wouldnt help u with ur problem. The right hand side is easy to take apart. Take the srews out and look in side to see what may be broken. If you need to go any further then you may need help. For now just push it, jump on and let oout the clutch. your return spring is broken, its a simple job. remove your clutch cover and replace the spring (half hour job) When this happens to me, I get a girl to start it. Bikes love women, who are good luck. Also, she'll get a kick out of it. No pun intended. take the kick off and try to see if it is ctching on anything more than likely your motor froze up and not the kick starter, get your wallet out. |
