Do you have to register your dirt bike in the state of california? Yes, your bike needs to be registered and stickered to ride on public lands. If you are taking the bike to Mexico, you will need registration, proof of insurance, your Cali Off-Road sticker, and if you'll be riding down there, I strongly recommend purchasing Mexican insurance - since your US vehicle insurance is no good there. big YES From riding in Glamis for some 25 yrs. If you ride track and park (Private property) you don't need tags. If you want to ride desert or any of the California OHV areas you need off road tags. As far as Mexico I really don't know about tags, but I've gone to Ensanada and Rosarita a number of times w/o problems. |
