What does the clutch do on a dirt bike?

HURRRYY!!!

The clutch regulates the gear shift and allows you to shift gears smoothly when you need to increase and decrease speed. Think of a manual driven car...it's the same concept, except you are using your hand to clutch and not your feet.
It enables you to shift gears. You don't want to be stuck in first the wole way, right?
The clutch disengages/engages engine power from the bike's rear wheel. You do this when shifting gears or when stopped.
