My son empited his gas take on his dirt bike. I was wondering where he can dispose of it? |
Hopefully someone will know. An easy way is to find someone who runs an old Cat diesel dozer. They can fuel them with about anything and usually do (kerosine, gas, diesel, oil; mixes of all those.) Check with farmers or construction workers in you area. Though the amount from a dirt bike is usually very little, so you may not be of much interest to them. It ran out of gas, so you're throwing it away? I run it thru my Lawn Mower or weed eater, is usually what I do that. If its dirty, strain it thru a shop-rag or something as you pour it in. There are organizations that will help dispose of gasoline in an environmentally responsible way. Finding the best option may take some researching. Sources of information are your community's fire department, recycling center, and hazardous waste disposal center. Check the government pages of your phone book to locate these organizations. Commercial organizations are usually listed in the Yellow Pages under Environmental and Ecological Services and Oils, Waste. You may have to pay for disposal. Therefore, try to purchase only the amount of gasoline that you absolutely need. 923 well you can take it to a recycling center dump it in the driveway and light it up use it in another 2 stroke engine Put it in your car.
